One week down!

Hi. Sorry about the long time since the last post. R and V have been busy getting everyone organized. Three of the men are remodeling a bath and mechanical area--tearing out the old bath and building two new baths and rearranging the mechanical room; moving the hot water furnace and hot water heater. Of course this includes breaking up the concrete floor with a jack hammer. Next week will include putting things back together. The other two guys have been replacing some rolled roofing and other odd jobs. The ladies have been cleaning and sewing.

Summer staff are arriving so the camp is gearing up for summer. Fun to see all of the activities that are available--private lake, wagon train camp area with 18 horses, plus all the traditional camp activities.

Pray for R and V as they are planning to leave on Tuesday--V's knee has been really hurting so they thought they should go home. B and C will be leaving about June 22. Continue to pray for safety on the road and project. Thanks.

I may have trouble posting any pictures since I won't have V's computer. You may have to wait until we get home. Bye for now--miss you all. nlsower

Hello Everyone: Sorry to hear that V's knees are so bad and we hope that they get better as she heads south and we'll be waiting to hear from them or see them soon and B & C we are patiencly waiting to see you too. We finall got some rain yesterday a little over 1/2 inch. some places had hail, but we didn't. Praise the Lord! We were at the Dutch Inn Motel in Bagley last weekend, we went to a wedding reception if Fosston for G's grand niece. Beautiful drive up there and back. Nat is doing fine and is stable - Prasie the Lord. We took the truck and it worked fine so we hope that we have the problem fixed, and diesel is cheaper $2.78 and $2.87 is the cheapest gas we've seen, so we are hoping that it will keep dropping. Don't know of any news from church cause we weren't there on Sunday. Started the Daniel Bible study on Wednesday and it will go all summer except for the fourth of July we won't have it. Keep in touch and don't work too hard - OK !

Hi Sowers; Haven't read your blog for over a month. Do get your emails though, so we have some general knowledge. Nice to see the pictures here though.Kelly Hammerschmidt pumped our septic this AM. Says he was good friends with Brent, and had been back here before, when R & V lived in the woods. We can vouch for Poor Boy and Slave Girl, that they weren't in church Sunday. I'm sure the Alaska Hwy has changed (Improved) since we drove it in 1959, but the pictures of the scenery look just as good now. Looking forward to seeing all of you again, after your 6 month stint. Guess we'll see R & V first. Y'all have a safe trip and God Speed.
