Two weeks down and one to go!

Here are some pictures. Will send more later. We are enjoying the weather. It is about 75 today. Sorry; not really.

This is the camp where we are working.

Baby Panda born a year ago at the San Diego Zoo.

Hippos at the Wild Life Animal Park.

C is painting signs--Lettering.

If we don't stop going out to eat, we may look like this silver back.

This is R's deck and fire ring project at the mine.

This is B's project. Setting utility poles before they could build the bleachers.
This has taken V and B all morning to get these seven pictures on the bolg. Hope we have learned something so it doesn't take too long next time. R and C are sitting here giving us a bad time. Pray for us. nlsowers

Half done with February Project

Hi, still don't have my computer connected to the wireless network so no pictures yet. Sorry.

B and C's son and family (P, T, B and S) were here for a few days. Lots of fun. Went to the zoo etc. We all fit in the camper for sleeping. The kids did very well.

We have rain showers today. They didn't disrupt our work much. Should be dry for the next three days.

B's project is going slowly. C's still painting signs--having fun. R's project keeps expanding so he is still working on the gold mine--making a deck and stone fire ring. V is still paint beds--some are really heavy so she has a sore back.

The whole sower group is going out for Valentine's Day--going to The Outback.

More later, nlsower

Sorry about the gap in blogging

Hi everyone. We are at Indian Hills Camp outside of Jamul CA. The delay in blogging is the result of several factors. One--we are in a valley. No cell phone, no TV just great weather and fellowship. If we go up the mountain about 2 miles, we can get cell phone reception. I tried to get my computer to work on the camps wireless but after several tries, no luck. I am using V's computer right now. The setting--I am on the board porch looking out over some of the camp and listening to the frogs, chickens and coyotes. It's about 5:30 and the temperature is about 50.

We are working on several projects. Two ladies are sewing costumes for the summer western program. V and another lady are painting bunk beds. C and three other ladies are painting signs for the carnival area. Two men are building cabinets for the office. R and another man are working on the gold mine water trough. B and three other men are working on the bleachers for the western show arena. (Removing old ones and building new ones. Seating capacity of about 300).

Great group to work with. We are eight couples: One from Canada, one from CA, one from MD, one from TX, one from IA, one from WA and of course two from MN. Some have family in this area so they do get to visit family on the weekends.

We went to David Jeremiah's church on Sunday. He was gone but had a great sermon.

Continue to pray for us. B's knee is doing much better--swelling has gone down. Pray for R's heel--pain when he walks. V and C are doing great. C is still on MN time so sleep schedule is OFF. Pray for safety and good health. Bennie got a hair (fur) cut yesterday. He pranced around like a puppy--must of felt cool.

Since this is V's computer, I don't have any pictures with this message. Will post another blog soon with pictures.

Thanks for the comments. nlsower

Good traveling

We (both Rigs) had good roads and weather across TX, NM and AZ. Staying Sunday night and Monday night at Coolidge, AZ. Visiting with C's cousin and of course going out to eat plus a little sightseeing. Temp was about 70 when we got to Coolidge today. That was quite a change from 30 when we left Van Horn TX in the morning. We are to be at Jamul CA by Friday. I think it's about 400 miles from Coolidge. We will look for some interesting spots to stop along the way so we don't get to CA too soon. Going out for breakfast tomorrow morning to meet some other SOWERS from Washington. They are just passing through Coolidge too on their way to their next project.

Thanks for the comments, nlsower
